NEWS!

I was granted the 2012
Harlan D. Mills Award from the IEEE Computer Society for practical and fundamental contributions to Model-based Software Testing and Verification.

In January, I will be moving to the
interdisciplinary center for security, reliability and trust at the University of Luxembourg. I’ll be on a partial leave from Simula and will establish a new software verification and validation lab there, as well as holding a professorship in software engineering. I will keep a leadership role in Certus for a year and we will establish a close collaboration between the two labs.

Expertise in Software Engineering
  • Testing, verification, and validation of software systems with a particular emphasis on object-oriented systems and high-dependability systems
  • Model driven development and object-oriented analysis/design with the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and its extensions for real-time, embedded systems and system engineering (e.g., MARTE, SysML)
  • Software quality assurance and control based on quantitative methods and measurement, experimental software engineering
  • Applications of artificial intelligence and evolutionary computing to software engineering
